Hi! I’m Aaron.

I work in government relations at TransLink. I live in Port Moody with my husband Kyle and our dog Solo (who is no help around the house, even though he is a cuddle monster.)

I've spent a decade in and around municipal life, mostly by showing up — to council meetings, to community events, and developing relationships with my neighbours. It turns out that's most of what community is—showing up. Nobody really tells you that part.

I'm Jewish, I'm gay, and I’m working on becoming a father. I'm still figuring out what all of that asks of me, and I've found I do that better in writing than in my head.

So this is where I think out loud. Some of it's about cities. Some of it isn't. I'd rather be argued with than agreed with, so if something here lands, or really doesn't, tell me.
