Bridging government, community, and policy
I have spent over a decade working at the intersection of infrastructure, economic policy, and regional governance. My professional career is defined by a commitment to making complex systems—from transit networks to municipal planning—work more effectively for the people they serve.
Through all my work and service on local boards and committees, I focus on delivering evidence-based solutions and fostering regional collaboration.
I am proud of my contributions to the social and economic health of the Tri-Cities. I believe in the value of transparent, accountable leadership and have strived to play a role in the continued growth and resilience of our community.

Community Leadership
-
Member | 2025 - Present
As a member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Regional and Civic Affairs Committee, I work alongside a diverse group of leaders from across the private and public sectors to monitor and influence the policies shaping our region. Our work focused on the broad range of municipal issues that impact both the local economy and community well-being, including housing affordability, building development, and regional government efficiency.
I helped analyze major infrastructure projects and community planning initiatives, ensuring that regional growth was balanced with essential social priorities like healthcare, poverty reduction, and the arts. I researched the complexities of how municipal decisions affect our daily lives and advocated for sustainable, accountable, and well-planned communities.

Member | January 2015 - June 2022
Our committee served as a strategic advisor to Council, providing recommendations on the city's long-term economic direction. Our work was focused on building the foundational tools Port Moody needs to thrive. This included overseeing the development of our city’s first-ever Economic Development Master Plan and the successful recruitment of Port Moody’s first dedicated Economic Development Officer.
We also took a hands-on role in supporting our local business community by overseeing the Golden Spike Awards and the launch of a new municipal business website designed to streamline investment. Through this role, I gained deep experience navigating the Council Committee System Policy and collaborated with staff and businesses to ensure our local economy remains vibrant, sustainable, and aligned with our community’s unique character.

Board Chair | December 2014 - August 2021
As Chair of the Grow Local Tri-Cities Board, I had the privilege of leading an organization dedicated to building a sustainable, resilient food system across our region. What began as a community project has grown into a vital link between local producers and suburban consumers, fostering both economic and social well-being. We worked to move beyond the market stalls to address regional food security, ensuring that fresh, culturally appropriate, and ecologically sustainable food remains accessible to everyone in our community.
During my tenure, our board successfully launched a summer market in Port Moody to bring locally grown food directly to our neighborhood. We also prioritized the next generation of food citizens by introducing the Power of Produce (POP) club, a youth education program that empowers children to make healthy, sustainable food choices through hands-on learning.
-
Inaugural Board Chair, November 2018 - February 2022
I led the transition of a grassroots volunteer committee into a formalized non-profit society dedicated to the Jewish LGBTQ2SIA+ community. Our journey began with the milestone community-wide Jewish Pride initiatives of 2018, but we quickly recognized the need for queer Jewish spaces and programming that extended far beyond a single week of celebration.
Over three years of monthly events and international partnership-building, we worked to bridge the gap between Jewish and queer identities. I provided the governance and strategic foundation necessary to ensure that LGBTQ2SIA+ Jews have a permanent, sustainable, and inclusive community to call home year-round.

Board Member, June 2019 - July 2022
I worked with this dedicated board to remove financial barriers and expand educational opportunities for students across our region. We stewarded the generosity of our donors to support scholarships, awards, and bursaries that assist up to 2,000 students annually.
